Francesc fabregas soler is a Spanish footballer known for his excellent vision, perfect timing and creativity. Born in Arenys de Mar, Barcelona, Catalonia to Nuria Soler and Francesc Fabregas Sr.

Fabregas has been a fan of Barcelona from his childhood and went to see his first Barcelona match when he was 9 months old. He started his football career with CE Mataro before he signed for La Masia, Barcelona’s youth academy in 1997, aged ten. Senor Blai, his first coach, reportedly didn’t want to select Fabregas for games in order to hide him from Barcelona’s scouts.

However, this tactic couldn’t prevent Barcelona for long, and he gave in allowing Fabregas to train with Barcelona once in a week. He initially trained as a defensive midfielder playing alongside popular names like Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique. Even though he was a prolific goal scprer for the club’s youth teams, he could play a first team football at the Camp Nou.

During his years at Barcelona’s youth academy, Cesc idolised the then Barcelona captain and number for Pep Guardiola, who late gave Fabregas his shirt as a consolation when his parents divorced.

Cesc then moved to Arsenal at the age of 16 in September 2003. Injuries from Arsenal midfielders like Patrick Viera, Edu and Gilberto Silva in the beginning of Arsenal’s 2004-05 season made Arsene Wenger to call on Fabregas and he since then established himself as one of the best midfielders in the game. He went on to break many records during the process at Arsenal and won the 2005 FA cup. He made 303 appearances in Arsenal shirt, starting 266 and coming on as a sub 37 times.

Fabregas’s performance made Barcelona come calling and he completed an extended transfer saga to Barcelona on the 15th of August 2011 in a deal of around 35 million pounds.

During his 3-year spell at Barcelona, Cesc played along Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez. He won the la liga title, FIFA club world cup, Copa del Rey, 2 Spanish super cups and the UEFA super cup.

The arrival of Luiz Enrique saw Fabregas move back to London, not to Arsenal, but Chelsea for a fee of 30 million pounds. In his first season at Stamford bridge, he was one of Mourinho’s best players and his assists helped Chelsea to win the Premier league title and League cup.

On the international level, Francesc Fabregas made his first appearance for Spain in March 2006. He since then represented Spain in the 2006 FIFA World cup help in France, UEFA Euro 2008, FIFA Confederations cup in 2009, FIFA World Cup in South Africa 2010, UEFA Euro in 2012, FIFA confederation cup in 2013 and the FIFA World Cup in 2014. Ceac Fabregas was an important figure in the domination of Spain National Team in recent years. He made his 100th international cap on 12th of October 2015.

Fabregas is known for having the midfield role of a playmaker where he can make use of his technique, excellent vision, ball control, and great passing ability to control the game play. He always play alongside a defensive midfielder which serves as a cover for him and allows him to have more time and space on the ball.
